Hello! Thanks for dropping by and visiting. My name is
David Shook. I am the senior pastor of Redondo Hills.
I came to know Christ as Lord and
Savior at the early age of 6 while attending church at the
Foursquare Church in Akron, Colorado.
I followed Christ in baptism two years later and yielded to
full-time ministry when I was 15 through the ministry of
Evangelist Phil Shuler.
I began pastoring at the First Baptist
Church in Elizabeth, Colorado and have served pastorates in
Colorado Springs, Colorado; Galesburg, Illinois and here in
Redondo Beach since 1990. In all I have served in the
Gospel ministry for almost 40 years. |

My wife, Jean, and I were married
in 1963 in Denver. Both Jean and I were raised in Christian homes.
God has blessed us with 4 children. 2 of them, Robert and Patrick,
both went to be with the Lord as a result of Cystic Fibrosis.
Robert was 8 years of age and Patrick was only 3 months old. Our
Son, John is married and he and his wife, Irene, have 2 children.
They live in Redondo Beach. Our daughter, Susan is married to Jason
Higgins and they live in Fullerton, California.
While, I find it rewarding to minister in the name of Christ. I do have
other interests. Sports, being one of them. I’m an avid
Cleveland Indians fan in baseball. A Denver Broncos and Colorado
University Buffaloes fan in football. While in high school and
college I played basketball and ran the mile in track. I coached
Little League baseball.
Music has always been a great
interest to me. God has blessed by inspiring me to write many
songs and choruses. As well as pastoring I minister through
performing country style gospel music here at Redondo Hills and anywhere
else God opens the door.
